Knowing how to use the NAEYC Code of Ethical Conduct is important, because the Code acts as a compass that helps guide the early childhood educator towards an ethical decision. An early childhood educator has multiple responsibilities, and must be able to collectively work with different people in all walks of life. The Code of Ethical Conduct helps identify possible solutions in determining and doing what is “right” and “justifiable” in each different situation.
